What is a welding tractor?

Welding tractors offer a level of automation which can improve the consistency, efficiency and productivity of your welding. Mechanising your MIG or Submerged Arc welding process could improve your welders ergonomics, increase your productivity and quality, increase profits by greatly reducing your costs.

A flange is a protruded ridge, lip or rim, either external or internal, that serves to increase strength (as the flange of an iron beam such as an I-beam or a T-beam); for easy attachment/transfer of contact force with another object (as the flange on the end of a pipe, steam cylinder, etc., or on the lens mount of a camera); or for stabilizing and guiding the movements of a machine or its parts (as the inside flange of a rail car or tram wheel, which keep the wheels from running off the rails). Flanges are often attached using bolts in the pattern of a bolt circle. The term "flange" is also used for a kind of tool used to form flanges.

(1) Prepare tools

1. Necessary welding tools and wire feeding devices

2. Welding power supply for necessary walking and control

3. Necessary CO2 gas for welding

4. Straight handle welding torch for automatic welding is necessary

5. Other basic tools for homework.
 

(2) System connection

1. Install the welding wire on the wire feeding tray and pull it to the end of the torch

2. Connect the welding torch port to the wire feeder

3. The two-core control switch output from the wire feeder is connected to the 2P socket of the trolley control box

4. Connect one end of the power cable to the 3P socket of the control box and the other end to the 220V AC power supply


Operation
 

1. Power on the welding power supply and welding cart

2. Select wire diameter and wire type (solid core or drug core)

3. Place the welding cart at the starting point of flange welding, tighten the flange, and adjust the operating Angle and traveling Angle of X-Y slider welding gun
